Ken Johnson

Ken has approximately 10 years of experience in the insurance business, all as an Account Executive with Cowan Benefit Services, Inc. His expertise is in the small group market of 2-100 employees. In addition to being the broker for many small sized groups, Ken also provides administrative services on an outsourcing basis for over half of his accounts. This has proven to be an invaluable service for his clients. Such services include enrollment of new employees, fielding questions regarding plan design issues, benefits, claims, and I.D. card requests, termination of employees, State Continuation of Coverage notification to eligible employees of groups under 20 employees, and auditing of invoices before presentation to his clients for payment.

Ken has a B.A. degree from The University of Kentucky. He has earned the high distinction of being a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), a designation conferred through a joint program of the International Foundation of Employee Benefits and The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania upon completion of a rigorous course of study of all facets of employee benefits issues. In June, 2004, Ken augmented his CEBS designation by earning the additional designation of 'Fellow' by completing an intense study of current topics in the employee benefits field.
