Margaret Collignon has approximately 20 years of experience in the insurance brokerage/consulting industry. She manages groups varying in size from 2-500 employees and has provided consulting services for groups over 1000 employees. Her area of expertise is employee communication for multi-location employers.
Prior to forming a strategic partnership with Cowan Benefits Services, Inc. she founded Group Insurance Consultants, Inc. an insurance brokerage firm. Margaret also worked in the Long Term Care Industry as a Regional Consultant for a national long term care provider.
Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee and earned a Masters of Science degree from Vanderbilt University both with emphasis on communication disorders. She is a Certified Registered Health Underwriter, a designation earned through the American College in Bryn, Pennsylvania.
Professional memberships include the National Association of Health Underwriters and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Margaret has served on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters as President and Vice President and served as the State Legislative Chairperson.
